Loudon Botanical Floral Engraving, 1841, Camellia Reticula PL. 13 Framed
Jane Webb Loudon's work The Ladies'Flower-garden of Ornamental Annuals Plants features fine botanical plates with original hand-coloring. The plates featured are from the first edition of her work published in London in 1841 by William Smith. The coloring in this edition is truly superior to later editions.
The Ladies' Flower Garden was produced as a series - annual, perennial, bulbous, greenhouse, and wild flowers. The Ornamental Annual Plants features the most recognizable and desirable flowers.
