 About the Artist: Originally from Germany, Helmut (Pete) Beckmann has lived in the United States since 1956. Primarily a painter of the outdoors, he finds limitless inspiration in his adopted country, saying he is continually "overwhelmed and awed by the beauty and diversity of its landscape." His work conveys everthing from rugged mountains to tranquil and picturesque forests with an energetic fervor.

Beckmann's media include acrylic, oil watercolor and, pastel. His enthusiasm for art is evident through his countless lectures and painting demonstrations. His canvases have recieved numerous awards and are featured in several thousand corporate and private collections in the USA, Canada, and Europe. Beckmann lives and works out of his studio gallery in Toledo, Ohio.
