 About the Artist: Marla was born in Buffalo, NY. and her artistic inclinations were evident from an early age. She was educated at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and recieved her BFA, with honors, in 1983. Marla was inspired by the beauty of rural landscapes when she moved to Oregon in 1993, and she began working in pastel. Marla has taught at Art Center College of Design and Pacific Northwest College of Art, as well as in  varoius workshop settings. She now splits her time between her landscape painting and her illustration career. She currently resides in West Linn, Oregon.
