*Early River Gallery and the Greenwich Workshop introduce a new Miniature Fine Art Series entitled "SmallWorks".Welcome to our first "SmallWorks" Fine Art Edition Show, featuring 35 "miniature works" from the Greenwich Workshop Family of Artists. Miniature art is an important part of any collection and this new series is a great way to begin! Such works are highly sought because of the low edition sizes and they are less expensive. A single small jewel of art can be that final, elegant touch in fine decor. These new pieces will be arriving and available for shipment over the next several months in 2007.

*About the Artist:  Alan Bean, Apollo XII astronaut, commander of Skylab II and artist--was born in 1932 in Wheeler, Texas. On space voyages, his artist's eye and talent enabled him to document impressions of the moon and space to be preserved later on canvas. He retired from NASA in 1981. He says about his work; "I am fortunate enought to have seen the sights no other artist ever has and hope to communicate these experiences through my art."

About this piece: Jim Irwin, Colonel, United States Air Force, had a brilliant but challenging career. His is a story of difficult challenges met, and with hard work and perserverance, overcome. After battling illness and severe injuries for ten years, Jim Irwin found himself standing on the Moon. After leaving NASA,Jim authored a number of books about his life and about his experiences. He gave me(Alan Bean) one of those books as a gift and I treasure it today. He inscribed "Decisions determine destination!Your grateful brother, Jim Irwin,Apollo 15
