About the Artist: There's mystery behind a cat's eyes in the divinely inspired art of Braldt Bralds. His unique atistic talent has given us paintings that range from realistic, humorous portrayals of cats, to contemplative and detailed still lifes. Born in the Netherlands, Braldt was very influenced by the works of the Dutch Masters. He has many awards and in 1988 was inducted into Holland's prestigious Illustrator's Hall of Fame. Some of Braldt's most beloved works are his fanciful renditions of cats. About this piece: "Together now! Left foot first. Look in the same direction..." is what this chorus line's choreographer must be thinking as he watches this performance. Look closely- furry faces are all facing forward and tails are gracefully curved upwards but...those 28 legs are anything but "in sync." Braldt pokes fun in this piece at the independent nature of cats. In other words,"We will do it our way."
